In the Year 1999, the ICC has adopted first permanent prize for the tournament. The current ICC World Cup Trophy is designed and produced by a team of craftsman from Garrad & Co in London.
The trophy is made from Silver and Gild. It weighs 11 kilogram and height of the trophy is 60 cms. The trophy features a Golden Globe on the top held by three silver columns.
The trophy displays the three fundamental aspects of the game, batting bowling and fielding. The trophy is designed with platonic dimensions, so that it can be easily recognised from any angle. The names of the previous winners are engraved on the base of the trophy. It has space for a total twenty inscriptions.
The original trophy is kept by the ICC. A replica, which differs only in the inscriptions, is permanently awarded to the winning team.
