All eyes set on ICC World Cup 2011 opening ceremony

THE MUCH awaited ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Opening Ceremony will be telecasted live on February 17, 2011 from Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka. The cricketing extravaganza will be held across three countries viz Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka. The carnival will begin with much jubiliation and fanfare and will also mark the attendance of several international figures. 

The 2011 edition of the world cup will be the tenth world cup and will also mark the debut of Bangladesh, India and Sri Lanka as as joint hosts. Being located in the same periphery, it is pertinent that the people of the three hosting nations share a common attraction towards the game. The economy of Bangladesh is also expected to receive a major boost with people from far and wide flocking the country.

People and specially cricket enthusiasts from all across the globe have a lot of expectations from the country and hope that they make the event worth remembering.

Government of Bangladesh is also under pressure for maintaining strict security for which the Bangladeshi RAB, Police and Army will control the world cup security system. Eight matches are scheduled to be played in Bangladesh during the tournament.

Many singers are expected to perform during the world cup from India as well as Bangladesh. Decoration of Dhaka city has already started in full flow in anticipation of the world cup.
