JUST AS the world is waiting for the finals of the French Open, the grass court season has already begun its preparation with Wimbledon being at the forefront. Most of the players have to make an immediate switch from the red surface clay to the green grass courts.
There are not many tourneys before the mother of all grand slams, the Wimbledon. Only one major tournament has been scheduled on the grass courts before Wimbledon. It is the AEGON Championships at the Queen’s Club which is slated to start next week. Continoue Reading……

I think it's smart to withdraw from this tournament so the player can be more fit to play at Wimbledon.
