Gambhir included in KKR squad for Champions League T20

Gautam Gambhir, the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders who was ruled out of the ongoing India- England one day series due to injury will feature in the Champions League T20 2011 as his name is in the 15 member squad.
Gautam Gambhir has just returned from the England tour from a mild concussion.
The Shah Rukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders made it to the final 4 of IPL Tournament for the first time and must be hoping for him to get fit. KKR will play in the Champions League qualifiers starting September 19.

Leicestershire, Somerset qualify for Champions League T20

Somerset and Leicestershire have qualified for the Champions League T20 tournament after winning their domestic T20 semi-finals by one over eliminators at Edgbaston. In a rain-affected first semi-final, Will Jefferson was the hero for Leicestershire after striking two fours and a six in the eliminator to chase Lancashires total of 13, in the second semi final Somerset beats Hampshire to qualify for CLT20.

In Somerset and Hampshires 6 ball play, Craig Kieswetter with Jos Buttler scored 16 runs for Somerset and Alfonso Thomas restricted Hampshire to five runs in reply. Leicestershire is in Qualifying Group B along with Trinidad & Tobago and Sri Lankans Ruhunu, and Somerset will face Kolkata Knight Riders and Auckland in Qualifying Group A.The top three teams from the qualifier will advance to the CLT20 main draw.

West Indian Kieron Pollard has advised CLT20 that he will play for Mumbai Indians next month after being named in Trinidad & Tobago and his IPL team in their final squads.
